Remember to be safe this Halloween!
- Cross the street at corners and watch for traffic
- Go with an adult, or if your child is mature enough to go unsupervised, stick to familiar areas
- Decorate costumes with reflective tape
- Use face paint and makeup instead of masks, which can obstruct your child’s vision
- Carry flashlights or glow sticks
Leftover candy?
- Find a place to donate the candy… some dentists take it, there are websites online like
Operation Shoebox and Operation Gratitude that will ship the candy, or give it to your
local food shelter - Freeze it and then add it to milkshakes, sundaes, ice cream, cookies, or cake
- Make trail mix
