How School Districts Impact Property Values

School Districts + Property Values

Many factors influence a family’s decision to purchase a home, including safety, overall layout, proximity to work, and more. For many, schools and the quality of the local school district is a higher – if not the highest – item on the wish list.

Parents want the best for their children, and they are making home-buying decisions based on where they want their kids to go to school. In fact, a survey of homeowners by the National Association of REALTORS® found that 53 percent of buyers with children in the home under 18 years of age, said the quality of the school districts is an important factor when purchasing a home.
