What’s your position at Compass Homes and how long have you worked here?
I’m the new Client Liaison for Compass’s Design Studio.
Which Parade home that Compass built was your favorite & why?
One of my favorites was the Trail’s End home. But I loved our recent Parade home at Verona in Powell. It’s fantastic! I love very minimalist & monochromatic design and the way this year’s home was put together was wonderful. I’m very excited to be part of such a talented group of people!
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I’ve always wanted to be an Interior Designer; my Dad is an architect so I’ve got creativity in my blood. When I was 5 we moved into a home my Dad designed & worked on with an Interior Designer and I remember being blown away by the uniqueness of our home. I grew to appreciate all of the details that make a house a home and strive to make each home special to the individual or family. My Dad has always pushed me to follow my passion and I’m so grateful for that. I love talking shop with him!
What’s your favorite room in your house & why?
I have so many because it’s fun for me to finally have my own home. At the moment my favorite is my husband’s study. I picked out a really deep peacock blue paint color that I’m obsessed with! We’ve added a rustic/modern bookshelf and a deep ebony desk built by my father-in-law. We’ve put our sweat & tears into the room, making us appreciate it even more!
What’s your favorite TV show?
At the moment I’m obsessed with Shameless and Game of Thrones.
What are you reading?
Ha, don’t judge me! I’m a nerd. I’m currently re-reading all of the Harry Potter books.
What’s your favorite vacation spot & why?
Riviera Maya, Mexico. That is where I got married/honeymooned and I swear that it’s the best resort. I highly recommend it! (Secrets Silversands)
What’s your favorite restaurant in central Ohio?
101 Beer Kitchen
Where are you originally from?
A very small country town in Northwest Ohio – Anna, OH.
What do you like most about your job?
So far it’s the expectation that I really get to be creative and share my input to make the Design Studio really innovative & the best it can be. Everyone is big on learning & growing which is wonderful for me!
What’s your favorite way to waste time at work?
Every job I’ve had I’ve been so busy that I never have time to waste! But if I do it’s typically enjoying the company of good co-workers & chit chatting.
What’s the best perk(s) you have at Compass?
So far it’s working with that cool lady, Pam Cinelli!
What’s the kindest thing that anyone has ever done for you?
It’s the little things that do it for me. I love when my hubby brings me home ice cream after a long day. Food & sweets are the way to my heart!
What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
Attempting to find the perfect job/company to call home. It’s been a struggle and I hope that this is it!
Do you have any hidden talents?
Not hidden talents, but I have a weird quirk that everyone makes fun of me for. I get hiccups all of the time! Also I get them like clockwork almost every night before bed.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Anytime I get to enjoy quiet moments at home just relaxing with my hubby and our sweet dog, Ellie.
