About Pamela Saloom

What’s your position at Compass Homes?

Sales & Marketing Director

Which Parade house that Compass built was your favorite & why?

2012 at the Meadows at Lewis Center – I loved our clients who bought the house, Joe & Michelle Monastra. They were an absolute blast to work with…plus, it didn’t hurt that they loved most everything that I selected for their home. And winning 9 or 10 awards sure was fun.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Wonder Woman (I was obsessed with Linda Carter), Cowboy & Toll Booth Attendant — Seriously, I am not kidding.

What’s your favorite room in your house & why?

It’s a tie between my Dining Room & Master Bath – My Dining Room is loaded with light, courtesy of (2) skylights & a giant sliding glass door. The Master Bath is insanely small but has great marble floors & a shower that’s all mosaic Carrera marble.

What your favorite TV show?

The Blacklist

What are you reading?

The Checklist Manifesto, for the 3rd time… It never gets old.

What’s your favorite vacation spot & why?

Cyprus – that was the place my boyfriend & I went on our first trip together…It was a magical country.  I loved everything about it – the people, the food, the countryside, the Mediterranean.

What’s your favorite restaurant in central Ohio?

Tucci’s

Where are you originally from?

Youngstown, Ohio – Kindly keep your mafia jokes to yourself.

What do you like most about your job?

I never have the same day twice – I juggle so many different projects & roles that I never, ever get bored.

What’s your favorite way to waste time at work?

Playing soccer with James, our Estimator (we actually talk about issues or projects while playing soccer which makes us very productive).

What’s the best perk(s) you have at Compass?

Live vicariously by designing houses…and of course, shopping can be fun.

What’s the kindest thing that anyone has ever done for you?

My boyfriend woke up at around 4am one Sunday morning to pick about 5 pounds of fresh milk thistle (a delicacy for horses) for my first horse, Joyride.

What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?

Ride “Vamoose” – He’s an insanely fast & enormous American Saddlebred that frightens the hell out of me…and I’m supposed to ride him in a show this weekend. He’s a really good boy, but makes me nervous because I’ve only ridden him twice.  Wish me luck…

Do you have any hidden talents?

I think it surprises people that I’m a pretty good cook.  Oh…and I can ride a horse both without stirrups or reins – that’s rather miraculous and requires insane core strength.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

Traveling with my beau and duh…riding horses – in this order: Hot Toddy, Bear, Taffy, Inky and Vamoose (sorry Vamoose).
