Community Spotlight: SŌW Plated in Upper Arlington

Compass Homes is inspired by the new local businesses that are opening up in and around our communities.  Today we highlight a new made-from-scratch concept, SŌW Plated in the Shops on Lane Avenue (spoiler alert- if you have not tried the  vegan, gluten-free buckeyes, you need to!)

Opened by Sunny and John Fahlgren in July of 2019, SŌW Plated has quickly gained an avid fan base. Peruse their social media pages on Facebook and Instagram and you will see some amazing reviews…:

“One of my favorites ♥️ fantastic food, lots of vegetarian options, amazing cocktails”

“Beautiful decor, healthy, yet creative menu and wonderful and inviting staff.”

“Excellent service. Amazing food. Refreshing dinner option. Perfect place for meat eaters and vegans to dine together.”

While the menu changes seasonally to take advantage of produce at its peak of freshness, you are sure to find delicious options whenever you visit. Produce is front and center, but you won’t want to miss the Wagyu Short Rib or Scottish Salmon, which are particularly tasty when paired with one of their artisanal hand-crafted cocktails. The SŌW Old Fashioned created with house-made cacao-infused rye is our personal favorite!

And while the food and drink are delicious, perhaps the best thing about SŌW Plated is its location. Situated in the revitalized Lane Avenue Mall (now Shops at Lane Avenue), it is a short walk or bike ride from some of the available Compass Homes lots!

We love that there is something for everyone in the Upper Arlington community, including yoga classes and dietician-led courses offered at SŌW Plated from time-to-time, and delicious desserts (with health benefits!) ready to eat ANYTIME!

Be sure to check out this local gem, and give a little something back while you are there by participating in their Round It Up America program with donations going to the Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s mental health efforts.
